St Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves (Team Claudette) by Jissel S

Before the debate I was really nervous because I didn't like speaking to the whole class, but during the debate, it wasn't as bad as I that thought it would have been. The debate was based on a fictional story names "St Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves". There was three wolf girls that a team had to choose from, my team got Claudette the narrator of the story, the other two wolf girls name was Jeanette and Mirabella. Jeanette is the oldest, Claudette is the middle child, and Mirabella is the youngest. It was hard arguing for her because Claudette had a lot of bad personalities and everyone hated her meaning the other two teams would go after my team. It was very stressful but the other teams was such comedians that the debate was bad or as stressful to me.

I think my group did pretty good during the debate prep, it was a work sheet where we could put all our idea's down for the debate. It was pretty hard finding some good character traits for Claudette but we manage to find some. Each of us was contributing and finding solid evidence to back up the character trait for Claudette, but each trait had an argument a debatable side to it which made it hard for us the back it up a little more. With all that evidence I felt that my group what be the winner, the group to get that 100, I really need that. Little did I know, the other groups had just as good evidence and statements to say just like us.

My group didn't end up winning, the winning group was Mirabella. They didn't end up getting the whole 100 because they had a bunch on negatives, such as not paying attention, not letting the other group having a chance to talk and talking over the other group. Some improvements my group needed is not depending on two students to carry them to victory. Me and other group mate was carrying the rest of the team. None of them even said something during the open debate. Another thing we needed to improve on is getting evidence with from the story to counter the other team questions and arguments towards us. Overall that I would say we put our best effort and tried, and that is what matters at the end
